I just received these amazing pictures from Tokio. They are taken today and I LOVE them! So inspiring, dreamlike and full of feeling.
Today I felt like wrapping myself in some very cosy clothes: warm, soft and comfortable. Loose silk tunic/dress from All Saints and pants from COS. Massimo Dutti shoes and a vintage belt.
Last night I couldn’t find you in the forest. It was misty and I’d forgotten my compass under my night table. The trees were whispering in their sleep and I tried to walk gently on their winding roots. There were strange boats by the lake and voices of creatures from faraway lands echoed across the water; songs in languages unknown to me, and laughter. As the rain begun to drop on the leaves above me, I wished your bed was dry and warm and through your dream you’d hear this song. On my way I found blueberries and carried them home in the hem of my dress, so that tomorrow we could kiss with sweet purple lips.
I just found these colors so good together that I decided to take a couple of pictures. Lately, I’ve been drawn to burned orange, which is a bit strange since orange never was one of my favorite colors; maybe it’s the autumn magic! Coin purse from Nyström Stockholm, agenda from Louis Vuitton, my Donna Karan glasses, Louis Vuitton honey, vintage Tampella fabric and a small leather box from India.
As the fashion magazines are full of fetish-inspired clothes, shiny leather goods and saucy accessories, my home made clutch bag was born exactly at the right time. You can soon find a limited edition of these clutch bags in my Etsy store. With my clutch bag I’m wearing a dress by Helmut Lang, Bianco shoes and leggings from H&M.
Today started dark as night with pouring rain and thunder but after work the sky was clear enough to enjoy a glass of wine on a terrace and share some laughs with my friends. And I took my vintage leather skirt out for a walk for the first time. I’m wearing a vintage leather skirt, silk blouse from Mango and golden necklace: all three I got from my mom. MiuMiu bag, Massimo Dutti shoes, Cette stockings and an unfinished scarf in angora and merino wool.
Brussels is back to its rainy self. Thunder and lightning kept me up all night, so I took the book that I’m reading and made a cup of tea. As they say in that song: “After the rain comes sun, after the sun comes rain again…” That’s the way it is; though in Brussels it mostly rains.
It’s light, it’s soft, it’s cosy, it’s beautiful and it’s 100% home made. This one I’ll keep for myself, but you’ll find an identical dress in my Etsy store. With my new favorite dress I’m wearing a vintage Helmut Lang under dress, boots from SixtySeven, a Dirk Bikkembergs belt, a tote bag from Marc by Marc Jacobs and a scarf necklace from Les Inséparables.
I love art books, bookbinding, combining words with images. This is The book of the Traveler (take me with you).
Finally sun is shining in Brussels! And I got to enjoy a freshly pressed grapefruit juice on a terrace, looking at people who were passing by in their long-buried summer clothes and taking in all the rays of sun of this day. Let’s hope this will last for a while.
