Sunday in Paris
Sorry for the silence. Since I came back from Paris the days have been flying by. But now I have a moment to start going through the pictures from the city of light. Let’s start with this outfit from last Sunday. The weather in Paris was brisk and cloudy, perfect to take my new leather pants out for a walk. I had actually been looking for a good pair of leather trousers for months, but couldn’t find them anywhere in Dublin or in any of the online stores I desperately browsed through. And while I wanted a beautiful pair in soft lamb skin, I didn’t want to break the bank either. And finally one day on my way home I found that the perfect pair was waiting for me in one of the thrift stores on Caple Street. I had them altered at Fitz and altogether spent less than 50€ for a perfect, tailored pair. Happy happy! I got a new favourite jacket from Helmut Lang at the sales at Printemps and I love it! …
j’arrive à la ville
Paris, here I come!
happy birthday!
2 years of 3rooms+kitchen. Thank you all for following, commenting and sharing your inspiration with me 🙂 This divine chocolate cake comes from Love is Art Café.
my first scone
Irish people love their scones, but it took me almost a year to try one. It’s not that I wasn’t looking at these delicious sweet buns at the markets or on the brunch menus countless of times, but there was almost like a divine intervention preventing me from having one. Either I was full from lunch or the café in question was sold out. Anyway, finally the time had come for that perfect scone moment I had been waiting for and I got the whole deal with cream, butter and jam. Yes, it was Delicious! And for moments like this, the Lost Society at Powerscourt has the perfect little terrace overlooking the bustle of the atmospheric atrium.
Winner of New Year’s competition
And the winner is… Laura! Congratulations, you’ll be getting an email from me shortly. Laura’s New Year’s Resolution was: My new year resolution will be maybe stop hunting on flea markets, finding my treasures which in reality are “restauration projects” .My new year’s resolution will be finish all the restoration before I come back for more, oh yes..wait for it.. “Finish what I have started” THAT’S IT. Thank you again for all the comments, looks like it’s going to be a Good Year.
a ribbon heaven
I stopped by at A. Rubanesque just before Christmas to get some ribbons for gift wrapping. This small and atmospheric store at Powerscourt is a true ribbon heaven. All those colours, buttons and lace are a playful invitation to creativity!
a casual stroll
it’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life.
I started 2013 with an abundant homemade brunch. As nothing was open today, I had to bake the croissants myself, which was actually great fun. So what better way to start a new year than a slow brunch in pyjamas, reading and just enjoying the bright winter day. Once again, Happy New Year everyone! Let’s welcome this new year with smiles on our faces and love & hope in our hearts. I found new use for the gingerbread cookie cutter
