when something comes out of nothing

Coming home after a 10 hour working day I find my fridge looking like this: But with the help of some whole wheat spaghetti and soya mince I have in the cupboards, I’m able to start making a pasta veggie bolognese. I let the soya mince soak up some water and spices while I chop the tomatoes and let them boil for a while in a little bit of water and what’s left of a jar of Arabbiata sauce. I fry the onion and some garlic, add the soya mince to the pan, then add the tomato sauce, stir and let it brew until the pasta is ready. I add a few sun dried tomatoes, some Parmesan and black pepper on top; not bad actually.

Cookies, cookies!

They say that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. And I suggest to try with these cookies! I have a secret ingredient to my own recipe but here are the basics to get started. What you need is: 50g of butter, 1dl of sugar, 2dl oatmeal, 1 table spoon of wheat flour, 1 tea spoon of baking powder and 1 egg. (for the last party I made the recipe x 5, so feel free to multiply) Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix the melted butter with the egg and mix them well with the dry ingredients. Heat the oven to 200c and place small pieces of the pastry on baking paper. Note that the cookies spread a lot in the oven, so leave a lot of space between the small lumps of pastry. Bake in the oven until the edges of the cookies are brown and the cookies have a beautiful tan 🙂

vitamins!

I’ve not felt Super for the past couple of days. Must be the changing weather but as it get’s colder outside, my body temperature seems to raise up; maybe it’s just a balancing effect, but anyway… I have some fever. Therefore I decided to cook a healthy lunch rich in vitamins and other good stuff. Take some green salad, a sliced red onion, one grated carrot, one jointed tomato, a few green or black olives, some sundried tomatoes and feta cheese and mix them all up in a big salad bowl. Add some seeds (pine nuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds) if you wish, a bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Dress with just a hint of salt and pepper. Mix once more and place on your plate. Yummy and ready in no time!
