Comfort was my main goal when I was packing for Paris and I spent most of the weekend in one of my favorite jersey dresses, a big woolen scarf and boots made for walking.
Is it me or is it more and more difficult to get up in the mornings? Even if I come from Scandinavia where the winters are dark and cold, I’m really struggling with this seasonal change year after year. But now, after washing my eyes open with cold water, two cups of tea with cookies and a few drops of vitamin D I’m finally somewhat awake. So it’s time to grab the umbrella and face the day. It’s been a busy week, so I’m looking forward to tomorrow! But even during the busiest, most serious week, a little bit of sparkle can do wonders.
Just a snap shot of today’s outfit. The silk blouse with a hand drawn fox is one of my best second hand finds ever.
One more outfit from our trip to Paris in January. It was a chilly morning so cashmere came in handy. Pictures are taken at the beautiful courtyard of St. James & Albany.
Lately we’ve had a chance to enjoy some beautiful sunny afternoons. But the cold autumn winds are blowing and the shopping streets are filling up with hungry fashionistas in the search for that perfect autumn wardrobe. This fall I’ve challenged myself not to buy anything new. When I’ve been browsing through magazines, all the titles scream: buy buy buy! “50 must-haves of this season”, “Update your wardrobe”, “70 affordable tips to get the catwalk looks”. I guess that’s the game. But does it have to be? More on that later.. The vintage silk tunic was a true gem; I paid 5 euros for it at one of the charity shops close to home. Cardigan is from COS a few seasons back and I bought the leather bag in Finland many years ago when I was studying. Shoes are from Bohemia Vintage here in Dublin.
How lucky am I; sunshine on my day off! All I needed to wear was a featherlight tunic. Silk/cotton tunic from Levi’s, Second hand Hugo Boss ballerinas from Oxfam.
